YWAM Visit
This week we have the joy of welcoming the YWAM team as part of the Pass It On Tour. Across the week there will be times of prayer, worship, discipleship training, and encouragement for our town.
The events are:
Tuesday 26 May, 10:00am–4:00pm — Day of Prayer for Moree
Friday 29 May, 7:00pm–9:00pm — United Night of Worship over Moree
Saturday 30 May, 8:45am–3:30pm — Moree Discipleship Training Day
All these events will be held at Impact Church.
It is a wonderful thing to see so many young people willing to give their time, energy, and even the direction of their lives to the work of God’s kingdom. There is something deeply encouraging about seeing people step out in faith and say, “Lord, use me.” Their example reminded me that the work of ministry is not only for pastors or missionaries. We see in the scriptures that in a very real sense, every Christian is called into ministry.
Peter writes, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” — 1 Peter 4:10
That means each of us has been entrusted with gifts, opportunities, relationships, and words that can be used for God’s glory. Some are called to travel and preach. Some are called to serve quietly and faithfully in their workplace, home, school, church, or community. The kingdom of God advances not only through public ministry, but also through ordinary Christians living ordinary lives with faithfulness.
So as we welcome the YWAM team this week, let us be encouraged by their passion and commitment. But let us also remember that our own lives matter in the work of God’s kingdom. Wherever God has placed us, our actions, attitudes, prayers, and words can bring light and life to the world around us. May this week stir us up and grow our desire to say, “Lord, use my life for your glory.”
